Our immigration journey officially started on 10/10/2008 when I e-mailed some documents to Alberta for pre-assessment under 'AINP U.S. Visa Holder Category.' Landed as PR on 11/15/2009. Timeline is at the end.
There was no hearing test for us. I have never heard of hearing test. If it looks obvious to doctor when going through the other medical procedures, he may ask for some questions regarding hearing issue, but there is nowhere it says hearing test is required. Good luck.
